Nonstop Performance Rose:
Introducing Lady Elsie May

From the hand of a master rose hybridizer, Reinhard Noack, comes a 2005 All American Rose Selection -- Lady Elsie May™. Developed and introduced by Angelica Nurseries, this shrub rose is selected for its beauty and durability in the landscape.

Lady Elsie May™ masses the landscape with a profusion of coral pink bloom from spring through autumn. Deep rosy, coral-colored buds open to delicately scented flowers generously dispersed throughout the plant. The deep color unfurls to a rich coral pink blush with a crown of golden stamens in the center. Lady Elsie May™ gives the added bonus of late season blooming candelabras cascading fountains of coral color onto the landscape.

The prolific bloom is outdone only by the lush, waxy green foliage that remains on the shrub throughout the growing season demonstrating its resistance to black spot and other common rose plagues. Lady Elsie May™ is quite at home in both mass commercial or residential plantings showing tolerance to a wide range of environmental stresses.

Lady Elsie May™ is a worry-free addition to the landscape. Hardy in USDA zones 5 through 10, this handsome shrub stands 30- to 36-inches tall with a spread of about two feet. A vigorous grower, the shrub serves as an excellent screen or under story plant as well as a single specimen in the garden or on the patio.

Lady Elsie May’s™ parentage is ‘Rapandia’ x ‘Gruss an Angeln’ and the botanical listing is as Rosa cv. ‘Angelsie.’ Developed in the Noack gardens that have brought the Flower Carpet® rose series to the lawn and garden market, Lady Elsie May™ displays the same disease resistance, carefree maintenance features, and durability of her cousins.

The prolific floral display cleans quickly and immediately begins producing the next abundant cycle of bloom. Lady Elsie May™ will be available where fine plants are sold.
